Emails Corrupted in Pratt Case

Emails relating to the prosecution of Visy Chairman Richard Pratt in a price fixing cartel case may be lost, Australian Federal Court was told recently by prosecutors. Computer problems have corrupted the emails relating to correspondence between senior Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) officials. The emails may be able to be retrieved from back-up tapes. Those tapes may be sent to the U.S. to see if any data can be extracted. The emails are just part of a number of documents that Pratt has been granted access to that relate to meetings, conversations or other communication about his criminal prosecution.
