Importing Medicinal Products for Personal Use in the European Union

In many European countries, patients are entitled to import medicinal products purchased in another member state for personal use. In general, patients carry the products themselves (so-called 'personal transport'). However, this may not always be possible. In such cases, the products may be shipped, eg by mail, or transported by another, eg a family member or company.
