Optimized SWATH Form Design with High Speed and Seakeeping Performance

摘要

Combined with the latest research progresses overseas and based on the new shipform requirements for design and building of SWATH (Small Water Plane Area Twin Hull) in China, this paper describes several important key problems and achievement of high performance SWATH on its design, such as optimized hull form design, hydrodynamic analysis, model testing and full scale ship measurement. Adopting these researching and developing technology, the New Century No.1 SWATH was built and served for CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation). It is producing outstanding economical and social benefits.
