Another way to experiment with images formed by lenses

The traditional laboratory activity involving image forma-tion with lenses uses a candle flame as the object. This works well, but can be messy and possibly hazardous. A better source of light for the "object" is a compact 9-LED flashlight (available from a local hardware store).
