摘要

Anfimicrobials and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are used concomitantly and pharmacokinetic interactions between them have been described (Kampmann et al., 1972; Carbon et al., 1984). Enrofioxacin has been developed exclusively for veterinary use (Chu & Fernandes, 1989) and it is de-ethylated to ciprofioxacin in vivo (Flammer et al., 1991). Diclofenac is a potent NSAID, widely used in veterinary and human medicine. We have examined the pharmacokinetic interactions of enrofioxacin with diclofenac in buffalo calves and obtained detailed pharmacokinetic data with a view to deriving an appropriate dosage regimen for the use of enrofioxacin in this species.
