INSURANCE IS ESSENTIAL and it shouldn't need stating, but a large claim or loss could have catastrophic consequences for a practice.With the new legislation it's never been more important to ensure you have adequate insurance in place and you understand the obligations you owe to your insurers.When taking out an insurance policy, a practice is obliged to disclose to the insurer all "material facts". These are facts the insurer would want to know in deciding whether to accept the risk a nd, if so, on what terms. If not disclosed when the policyis taken out, an insurer may be entitled to "avoid" or cancel the policy, leavingtheclaim uninsured.
