Eosinophilic meningoencephalomyelitis in an orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) caused by Angiostrongylus cantonensis.

摘要

This paper reports on a case of eosinophilic meningoencephalomyelitis in a privately owned six-year-old female orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) from southern Florida, USA which was caused by Angiostrongylus cantonensis. Highlight of the report focused on the diagnosis and treatment of the animal.
