The 1.5 million t/a delayed coking unit,as one of the main viscous crude renovation and matching projects of Karamay Petrochemical company (KPC),broke the ground recently.The project,funded by RMB631.12 million,is expected to put on stream at the end of 2004,involving the renovation of a 1.5 million t/a delayed coking unit and establishing a new 900 000t/a asoline/diesel hydrofinishing and 12 000 m~3/h hydrogen producing joint unit.
