Natural personal-care brand Tom's of Maine will move to using a 100% petroleum-free version of propylene glycol in its deodorants under sustainability initiatives highlighted in the company's latest Goodness Report. According to the report, the majority-owned subsidiary of the Colgate-Palmolive Company will phase out use of propylene glycol derived from natural gas to an alternative that "comes from soy or coconuts."
