Poplar Bud Extract Shows Promise As Antioxidant In Topical Skin Care

Findings from a recent study on poplar bud extract may expand the palette of antioxidants available to formula-tors of topical and nutraceutical anti-aging products. Poplar bud, an extract used for its anti-inflammatory properties in traditional medicine, is also found to have moderate antioxidant properties and to help regulate genes involved in skin aging, according to research funded by Biolandes, a French company that develops natural and organic extracts.
