Church & Dwight Gains Orajel With 380 Million Del OTC Purchase

Church & Dwight has agreed to acquire Del Pharmaceuticals' OTC brands,including the Orajel topical analgesic line,for 380 million in cash from Coty,Inc.,the firm said April 1.The acquisition of the OTC division of Del Laboratories,which is expected to close in July 2008 pending regulatory approval,will "immediately increase" C&D's gross margins and boost its growth potential by adding Orajel to its OTC oral-care portfolio,C&D says in a release.
