USDA Guidance Clarifies 'Made With Organic' Labeling Expectations

The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued draft guidance Jan. 13 to clarify its labeling policy for organic-containing products certified to National Organic Program standards. The NOP governs the organic food marketplace by requiring products making organic claims to be certified to one of three categories: "100% organic," "organic" or "made with organic (specified ingredients or food group(s))."
