Campaign wants Brazilian Blowout recall

In a Nov. 8 letter to Linda M. Katz, director of FDA's Office of Cosmetics and Colors, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and the National Healthy Nail Salon Alliance ask FDA to take action against the maker of Brazilian Blowout professional hair-smoothing treatments, which health officials in Oregon and Canada say contain varying levels of formaldehyde well in excess of the 0.2% ceiling recommended by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel.
