Pharmacy project highlighted at NHS Live event

A pharmacy project on multicultural concordance was one of only four projects presented in the"live stage"area at the NHS Live national event,held in London last week.The project is called Umda Dawa,which is the Urdu phrase for"good medicine".It has been developed by two practice pharmacists at Bristol North Primary Care Trust and aims to support patients from black and ethnic minority communities,largely South Asian,by providing access to advice on medicines and improved management of medicines,especially for people with long-term conditions.
