Increased fee for flu vaccine

Community pharmacists in Scotland will be paid a two-tier professional fee for supplying influenza vaccines to GPs this year.The aim of the new fee is to avoid a repeat of the problems that occurred last year following difficulties with the supply chain for flu vaccines.Contractors will be paid a flat rate handling fee of 55p per vaccine plus,subject to certain criteria,a further 55p "risk minimisation fee".
