摘要

I read with increasing disbelief the pamphlet entitled "Practising or non-practising pharmacist" enclosed with The Pharmaceutical Journal of 4 December 2004.The doublespeak in the blue panel "What is a practising pharmacist" sounded vaguely familiar.Where had I come across this before?Then I realised - it must be an extract from that great,long-lost novel by George Orwell:'Pharmacy 2004'.
