It is the duty of pharmacists to be key players in policies intended to control the spread of new diseases,said Jean Parrot,of France,President of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP),during the congress opening ceremony on 5 September.The world community is growing faster and faster,he said,and all human societies,all individuals,regardless of their nation or culture now live in a world in which risks become global.
