A new species of the genus Imalithus Pascoe, 1870 from Papua New Guinea (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Cryptorhynchinae)

A new species of Imalithus Pascoe, L gabata sp. nov., from Papua New Guinea is described, illustrated, and distinguished from its only known congener, I. patella Pascoe, 1870. The new species represents the first record of the genus from New Guinea.
