Alon Surface Technologies granted patent

Alon Surface Technologies, Inc., Leechburg, Pa., has been granted its fourth U.S. patent, No. 6,165,286, for Diffusion Heat Treated Thermally Sprayed Coatings. This patent covers the company's DiffuseAlloy process for diffusion coating of larger-size components.As long as line-of-sight thermal spraying is possible, the process works well with waterwall panels; tube sheets; plates; and large-diameter pipe, shells, and liners.
