Multiprocess welding power supply uses multiple voltages

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products demonstrated its Warrior~(TM) 400i Multi-Voltage, a multiprocess welding machine designed for GMAW (MIG/MAG), FCAW (flux-cored), SMAW (stick), and GTAW (TIG) welding, as well as arc gouging. The unit accepts two voltage levels of 3-phase power, 230 V and 460 V. The welding machine provides up to 400 amps at 60 percent duty cycle. It welds 0.030- to 5/64-in. flux-cored and solid wires, provides a full range of SMAW capabilities, and carbon arc gouges up to 5/16 in. dia. The unit's inverter-based design provides improved arc performance and energy savings based on its use of the company's TrueArcVoltage~(TM) for constant and true arc voltage. Its air tunnel design keeps critical electronics free from dirt, oil, and foreign objects.
