Global demand for linear alkylbenzene(LAB)will grow 2.5%/year through 2016,consulting firm Colin A.Houston&Associates(CAHA;Brewster,NY)says.Growth will be strongest in Eastern Europe,the Mideast,and Africa,averaging 4.4% annually through 2016,CAHA says.Established markets for LAB such as in North America,including Mexico,will grow at lower rates,averaging 1.5% annually.Annual growth in Latin America will average 1.3%,and Central and Western European growth will be stagnant at 0.4%.
