The XL-800series hand-held XRF analyzer from Niton Corp. can be used for on-site testing of metal alloys.The detector uses X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology to analyze and identify metal samples and report elemental compositions.It is a single unit and weighs less than 2(1/2) lbs.It has two modes of operation. In Signature Match mode, the instrument performs signature matching from a user-defined library of more than 250 alloys.
