NIMS receives ANSI accreditation

The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), Fairfax, Va., has been accredited as a developer of American National Standards by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). NIMS is a nonprofit foundation organized and governed by leaders in the metalworking industry for the purpose of establishing industry skill standards and assessments.NIMS develops and maintains metalworking skill standards, certifies training programs that meet its quality standards, and issues credentials to individuals who demonstrate proficiencies against the NIMS standards.
