Dispersal characteristics of young bobcats from northeastern Kansas

Dispersal characteristics of a species can provide information on social behavior, stability of the population, and potential for recolonization of surrounding areas (Howard, 1960; Roff, 1975; Waser, 1985). We report dispersal movements of six young bobcats (Lynx rufus) that were radiocollared as part of a larger project conducted on Fort Riley Military Reservation, Kansas.
