Challenges and Opportunities to be Global Players in the International Oils and Fats Industry: The Sime Darby Perspective

Tan Sri Dato' Sen Borge Bek-Nielsen was not just a great planter but also a friend and thus Tun Musa Hitam felt it a privilege to deliver this lecture in his honour at the International Oils and Fats Conference (OFIC 2008). The two men were right in the forefront of the oil palm industry albeit in different capacities - one as a player and the other as a regulator - each playing a key role in developing the sector to the critical position of importance it holds today in the Malaysian economy.
