With the recent bad weather that Yorkshire has suffered over the last 10 days and following heavy thunderstorms on Tuesday 19th June, one would have thought that the Sheffield branch had more chance at a Water Polo competion than golf, however on Wednesday morning at 8.00 am the sun shone at the Wortley Golf Club and the 2007 Golf day commenced. Some 37 players took part in this years event, one of the largest attendances Sheffield have had, I think this reflects the outstanding venue for this event, Wortley is one of the best courses in Yorkshire and being so close to the motorway network together with a number of Hotels near by makes it easy for people who have to travel from further a field.
