Exercise Pashtun Links - Training to Counter the Improvised Explosive Device in a Realistic Environment

FIRST conducted for Operation Herrick 11 in June 2009 on Salisbury Plain the Counter Improvised Explosive Device Task Force Mission Rehearsal Exercise (C-IED TF MRX) has grown into a three week overseas joint, combined and multi-agency, multi national exercise totalling over 800 exercising troops; it provides the sole training opportunity for the entire C-IED TF. This iteration of a larger scale MRX has delivered a C-IED TF to collective Training Level 3/4 for Operation Herrick 14.
