William Burrells' Microscope

摘要

A unique and massive microscope is presented which was hand-built immediately after the Second World War by William Burrells, author of Industrial Microscopy in Practice and Microscope Technique. The microscope is constructed along the lines of a Victorian era Ross microscope but incorporates some unique mechanical and optical design features which are described in Burrells' books.
