In the Quekett Journal 100 years ago

Part No.70 of The Journal of the Quekett Microscopical Club, edited by A W Sheppard, was the second series volume 11 [volume 17 as now described], and was issued in April 1912. It contains 135 octavo pages, plus no fewer than a further thirteen pages of plates — two them in halftone, one of these in colour! This was much more lavish illustration than had been common in earlier days, although of course the papers contained in this part positively required pictures.
