1853 photomicrographic prints by Joseph Delves

In my recent book [1] I published for the first time two photomicrographs made by Joseph Delves in 1853, from negatives made in 1852. They are original· albumen prints, intended for use with three articles to be published in the Transactions of the Microscopical Society of London volume one, and in volume one of the Quarterly Journal of Microscopical Science. It was possible to use two bound-in pages of albumen prints to illustrate three papers in these two different journals because at that time both were published together [2].
