摘要

I co-facilitate with a neurosurgeon a small group of first year medical students for our clinical skills course. The course is called Patient-Centered Medicine (PCM), and in this course, students learn the basics of interviewing patients, taking a history, and writing a chart note. In our introduction to the course, we state that "PCM is a 3 year course designed for Loyola medical students to develop the skills needed to become balanced, competent, patient-centered physicians with life-long career satisfaction." Our students also develop knowledge and skills about various aspects of patient care. One of the sessions we cover is called Difficult Patient/Physician Relationships.
