Pocos outstanding in organic coated sheet supply to home appliance makers

The coated steel sheet maker Pohang Coated Steel is increasing the organic coated sheet supply to the home appliance makers. It is attributed to its revamped No. 2 CCL (prepainting line) and the remodeled No. 1 CGL (continuous galvanizing line). Pocos also established JIT supply in cooperation with the steel service centers located close to the home appliance makers. Pocos' shipment to Samsung Electronics .increased to 21,500 tons in 2005 and 26,000 tons in 2006 from 13,000 tons of 2000. Its shipment to LG electronics is even bigger. Pocos shipped 9,500 tons in 2000, 32,500 tons in 2005, and 37,000 tons in 2006 to LG. Pocos' product mix of organic coated sheets for white goods is highest among the domestic organic coated sheet makers. Pocos' share of Samsung Electronics' organic costed sheet purchasing is 46 percent and it is 36 percent in case of LG Electronics.
