Steel Flower to Produce Steel Pipes for Wind Power Generators

Steel Flower, a firm specialized in the production of thick pipes, said it would invest 25 billion won in the construction of a new plant at a site of 24,000 pyung (79,800 sq. meters) in a free trade zone of the Daebul Industrial Complex in Youngam, Chollanam-do. Steel Flower, which has completed a lease contract to secure the necessary land for its new plant at the industrial complex, is planning to commence the plant construction work next month with a schedule for startup of the new plant in February next year. The company is expecting to create about 200 new jobs in Chollanam-do when the new plant is completed and to export 90 percent of its total output.
