Offer Prices for Iron Ore, Bituminous Coal Maintain Steady Tones in March

Offer prices for the imports of pig iron, steel scrap, copper, aluminum and lead increased in March, while import prices for iron ore, bituminous coal maintained steady tones and billet price declined. The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) said so in its announcement of the KOIMA index for March. Offer price for pig iron extended an upward trend in March in line with a rise in the prices for raw materials including iron ore. In March, import price for steel scrap took a rebound from a bearish trend in February on the back of overall rise in raw material prices and seasonal factors.
