Amid unfavorable business conditions, the elimination of industry designation system for small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) in the sectors of steel and nonferrous metals has made them feel crisis further in survival. The Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) had eliminated all the industry designation system for SMEs by step by step by the end of 2006 in 45 business sectors.
