Electrolytic Copper Production, Sales Post Double-digit Growth in January-April

Production and sales of domestic electrolytic copper are steadily increasing. According to the National Statistical Office, both production and sales of electrolytic copper from January through April posted double-digit growth. Helped by the improvement in the production conditions compared with the same period of 2004, the increase rates of the aggregate production and sales of electrolytic copper became relatively higher than a year ago in the first four month of this year. Aggregate production of domestic electrolytic copper until April posted 172,028 tons, up 13.2 percent from 152,013 tons in the same period last year.
