Sales of Wrought Copper Alloy Maintain Favorable Tone in First Half

Despite a slump in domestic sales, combined sales of domestic wrought copper alloy including copper sheets, copper pipes and copper bars maintained a relatively favorable tone in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year. Both aggregate production and sales of wrought copper alloy from January through June this year increased compared with the corresponding period of 2003. Industry officials said that such arise in the sales of wrought copper alloy was mainly due to the robust demand in the first quarter of the year, even though the second-quarter sales were lower than a year ago.
