POSCO Plans to Operate Second Line of No.1 Mini Mill Again in October

POSCO has decided to operate the second line of its No.1 mini mill again starting October 1 at the Gwangyang Works in order to ease the consumers' difficulties caused by the supply shortages of hot-rolled coils (HR) for after due consideration for a long period of time. According to an official at POSCO, the company made such a decision primarily because that customers have continuously asked POSCO to run its second electric furnace at the works for an increase in output due to a price gap between domestic HR and imported products in the market despite the price hikes on the two occasion, each one in February and April this year.
