Distribution Market Prices for CR and Coated Flat Products Sharply Increase in September

Domestic distribution market prices for cold-rolled steel sheets (CR) and coated flat products have sharply increased in September. According to non-POSCO distributors and secondary and tertiary distributors of CR and coated flat products, distribution market prices for those products have much increased in accordance with the run-up in the related steelmakers' ex-factory prices by anywhere from 20,000 won to 70,000 won per ton, starting this month. Taking a look at the selling prices for the products (based on retail price at secondary distributors, including freight and processing charges), the market price for pickled and oiled steel sheets (PO) has risen to the level between 780,000 won and 800,000 won per ton per ton, while CR and electrolytic galvanized steel sheets (EGI) are selling at the level between 780,000 won and 840,000 won and between 900,000 won and 920,000 won, respectively. The market price for hot-dipped galvanized steel sheets (GI) has been formed in a wide range of 870,000 won to 940,000 won per ton.
