Sales of Welding Consumables Down 4.6 percent through November

Aggregate sales of domestic welding consumables excluding flux cored wire (FCW) from January through November 2004 were found to have slightly decreased from the same period of 2003. Compared with the identical period of the preceding year, the accumulated sales of welding consumables in the first eleven months of last year declined 4.6 percent to 75,500 tons, posting a drop of 7.2 percent at home and 2.0 percent abroad, respectively. According to a recent survey on the sales performance by wire rod makers through November last year, they saw drops in all items in the accumulated sales on a year-on-year basis.
