Machinery Industry Expected to Be Prosperous in Second Quarter: KOAMI

Led by robust exports and a recovery of domestic sales, domestic machinery industry is expected to be continuously prosperous in the second quarter of this year. The Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI), which analyzed a survey conducted by The Korea Industry Trend Study Club that was formed by 11 industrial organizations including the Korea Agricultural Machinery Cooperative, said March 30 that most sectors of domestic machinery industry including construction equipment, machine tools, air-conditioners and molds would see improvement in each business performance in the second quarter, thanks to brisk facility investments and strong exports in automotive sector in particular.
