CR Makers Groan under Heavy Burden from Strong HR Purchasing Prices

Local makers of cold-rolled steel sheets (CR) are expected to groan under heavy burden from a surge in their purchasing prices for hot-rolled coils (HR) in the second quarter of the year. It is because that there is a high possibility for POSCO and Hyundai Steel to increase the prices again on their HR after April and that import prices for Japanese HR and Chinese HR are continuing to be on the sharp rise.
