POSCO to Complete First Phase of Integrated Steelworks by 2010 in Vietnam

POSCO is expected to push forward with the construction of the first-phase construction of an integrated steelworks by 2010 in Vietnam with annual production capacity of 4 million tons said Samsung Securities Analyst Kim Kyung-joong in connection with a report that the Vietnamese government has recently approved the POSCO's scheme to invest a total of 11.5 billion U.S. dollars in the construct an integrated steelworks in Van Phong. POSCO plans to spend 3.5 billion U.S. dollars on the first-phase construction works of the steelworks and the remaining 8 billion U.S. dollars on the second-phase construction works.
