Dongbu Steel Orders Hot-rolling Facilities with Strip Casting Technology Applied

Dongbu Steel is known to have signed a contract with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to purchase hot-rolling facilities with a new strip casting technology, which enables the process of casting and rolling works to be flowed continuously, applied, at about 10 billion yen. Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, a joint venture established by Hitachi and Mitsubishi, recently announced that it has won an order together with Danieli from Dongbu Steel for the supply of thin slab-type hot-rolling facilities with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons.
