Margaret Chan named as new Director-General of WHO

Chan told the Assembly that she would focus on six key issues: health development, security, capacity, information and knowledge, partnership, and performance. She also said she would support and scale-up efforts to control tobacco and accelerate action to implement the Global Strategy targeting diet, physical activity, and health.
