We read the article by Marwan et al. "The Laparoscopy Usage in Pedi-atric Trauma"1 with great interest. In this study, they concluded that "Most injuries are amenable to laparoscopic repair. Even in a center with a strong endosurgical background, laparoscopy currently seems to be underutilized in the management of pediatric abdominal trauma." In their experience, use of laparoscopy did not only facilitate the diagnosis and management of injuries but also could help in the identification of some solid organ injuries that were not detected by computed tomography scanning. In our study, we had a similar conclusion.
