Eager to improve my bee microscopy skills, I read the advert in An Beachaire on NDB Short Courses with interest. I discovered that there were 2 consecutive courses on Microscopy and Anatomy & Dissection taking place 'back-to-back' that I could do overa long October weekend in Devon. I enquired by email and Dan Basterfield promptly replied with directions, accommodation suggestions and welcoming comments. Together with positive recommendations on NDB tuition from a fellow CDBKA beekeeper, I made my mind up and booked flights.
