Phenolic Compounds and Cinnamamide from Scutellaria scordiifolia

Scutellaria scordiifolia Fisch. ex Schrank (Lamiaceae) is a plant species, the aerial part of which was used by Buryatiyan lamas under the name hong len ser po as an antipyretic for infectious diseases of various etiology [1]. Despite the broad distribution of this species in Siberia, information on its chemical composition is scarce. The aerial part of S. scordiifolia is known to contain several flavones (chrysin, apigenin, luteolin, wogonin, baicalein, oroxylin, scutellarin) and their 7-O-glucuronides [2, 3]. The goal of the present work was to study the composition of phenolic compounds of S. scordiifolia growing in Buryatiya.
