The search for new physiologically active compounds,especially from natural sources,is of great interest because such compounds ae readily eliminated from theorganismand are ecologically purer.Biologically active compounds may act specifically and may intensify peroxide oxidation of lipids by altering the physicochemical systems that regulate cellular metabolism.
