摘要

IT'S COMMON to see plants flagged as native in catalogs, magazines, and books. This usually means that the plant occurs naturally in a particular region, ecosystem, or habitat without human intervention. However, most cul-tivars and hybrids of nativeplants have been developed by gardeners and plant breeders; in many cases they have never grown in the wild.
